In order to gain a new skill or weave, one must find a person able to teach
it. This is where trainers come in. Trainers are mobs/NPCs who exist to
serve players by teaching them. They can be found in most of the larger
cities of the known world. The command ‘gain‘ allows you to
learn from a trainer. One can also learn skills and weaves from fellow
players who have the ‘teach’ skill.

proficiency. You can practice through use, or at the trainer. To beef up
proficiency with a trainer, use the command ‘practice
Train points are used up both by learning new skills/weaves and by
practicing them with the trainer. There is no train cost to improve
skills and weaves through use.
